Johan Santana (shoulder) was scheduled to resume throwing off a mound in Port St. Lucie on Tuesday. Santana hasn't thrown from a mound since tossing three scoreless innings in a start with High-A St. Lucie on July 28. The Mets are still hopeful he'll be able to return at some point in September, but that window is closing rather quickly. Of course, the most important thing is that he is healthy headed into 2012.
