Johan Santana (shoulder) played long toss from a distance of 175 feet on Monday in Mets camp. Mets manager Terry Collins said the rehabbing left-hander "looked great." Santana is expected to throw off a mound by the end of this week and should only be a few steps behind the other starters in Mets camp when spring training opens for pitchers and catchers in five days. He's aiming to make around 25 starts in 2012.
