Johan Santana (shoulder) is scheduled to be reevaluated at the end of the Mets' current 10-game homestand next Thursday. Santana was told to rest for a week after being diagnosed with left shoulder fatigue this week. If the southpaw is cleared to resume throwing, he will begin with bullpen sessions. We wouldn't count on anything, but Mets general manager Sandy Alderson hasn't ruled him out for the season yet.
