Joey Votto isn't concerned about his slow spring. Votto is hitting just .214/.313/.262 with zero home runs through 48 plate appearances. "I start slow, but it's taking longer than most years," Votto said. "But it's not for a lack of work. It's not for a lack of health. It's not for a lack of being determined or focused or whatever. It's just one of those years." Votto struggled for most of the spring in both 2010 and 2011 before going on to have monster regular seasons. He'll be ready to dominate come Opening Day.
