Joel Pineiro threw five innings Thursday in an extended spring training game. Pinero, who signed a minor league deal with the O's earlier this month, is now expected to report to Triple-A Norfolk. Coming off a terrible 5.13 ERA with the Angels last year, the veteran right-hander will function as rotation depth.
