Joel Pineiro earned his first victory since May 10 by yielding two runs over 6 1/3 innings against the Mets on Friday night. And there goes his streak of allowing four earned runs in five consecutive starts. Pineiro scattered six hits against three walks and four strikeouts. Usually known for his supreme command, he has walked three batters in each of his last three starts. He'll carry a 3.92 ERA into a start against the Marlins next week.
