Joel Hanrahan (elbow) was shut down from a recent bullpen session, as the Tigers decided he needs to build up his arm strength through long toss first before moving to mound work. Hanrahan will long toss for the next week or so before being re-evaluated. If all goes well, he could resume throwing bullpen sessions next week. There is still no clear time-table for his return, but his agent suggested that it could come in mid-June.
