Joe Saunders pitched seven innings and allowed three runs -- two earned -- in defeating the Pirates on Thursday. Saunders hasn't received much run support lately, but Jason Kubel helped him out with a pair of two-run homers today. It's just the second time this season that he's allowed as many as three runs and won. He's 6-8 with a 3.52 ERA in 19 starts.
