Joe Saunders allowed just one run on four hits in seven innings of work on Sunday afternoon, but watched his bullpen implode in Arizona's 8-3 loss to the Tigers. After striking out eight while issuing just one walk in his seven frames, Saunders watched Aaron Heilman, David Hernandez and Bryan Shaw get battered. A bad afternoon, but thankfully for the Diamondbacks, the kind that has been much less frequent in 2011 than it was in 2010. Saunders will get the A's in Oakland his next time out.
