Joe McDonald of ESPNBoston.com reports that the Red Sox have offered David Ortiz a two-year, $18 million contract. McDonald says Ortiz is looking for two years and $25 million. If that's really all the Red Sox are offering, then Ortiz should just go ahead and accept arbitration if he wants to remain in Boston, as he could get around $16 million that way. Otherwise, perhaps other teams will be in play.
