Joe Mauer was sent home after his concussion symptoms returned after a workout Wednesday. Twins general manager Terry Ryan said Mauer was "irritable" about how he felt. "This was a bad day, but we'll come back and try tomorrow," Ryan added. Mauer suffered a concussion over three weeks ago, and it's obviously not a good sign that he's still not feeling right. The odds that he'll make it back this season aren't looking good, but the Twins are concerned mainly with his long-term health.
