Minnesota Twins first baseman Joe Mauer (concussion) does not appear to be close to a return to action. Mauer has been working out on the field before games but according to a report, activation or a rehab stint does not sound imminent. Mauer has been on the disabled list since mid-May and had symptoms return last week. He has since ramped up his activity but his return date is still unclear. The veteran first baseman is batting .283 in 38 games this season.
