Joe Mauer (oblique) took some dry swings on Sunday. They came after the first baseman played soft-toss and fielded a few ground balls on Saturday. It's obviously a great sign that Mauer is ready to swing a bat again, and he should progress to hitting in the cage and then taking batting practice if all goes well. He's been out since early July with a strained right oblique.
