Joe Mauer (concussion) hasn't taken any swings in the cage this offseason. "It varies every year," Mauer said of his winter routine. "This year I wanted to start off the year making sure I got over this concussion and took the time. It's going pretty good heading into the year." Mauer has been symptom-free since late October. "I'll get to camp, and I think we'll have plenty of time to get ready for the season," he said. Mauer will shift to first base full-time in 2014, a move that will ensure more at-bats but less position scarcity for fantasy owners.
