Joe Kelly (hamstring) will be activated from the disabled list to start Friday against the Brewers. Kelly, out since April with a severe hamstring strain, allowed just one run over 4 1/3 innings Sunday in his latest rehab start with Triple-A Memphis. He was originaly expected to make one more start before being activated, but the Cardinals have decided to bring him back early. Tyler Lyons will head to the bullpen.
