With an early afternoon game on tap following a night game Friday, manager Joe Girardi will rest the 40-year-old Jeter and instead turn to Stephen Drew to man short against right-hander Scott Carroll. Jeter's .533 OPS in August is his lowest in any month this season, but there's no doubt the Yankees will continue to give the future Hall of Famer regular time over the final weeks of the season.
