Jeremy Hellickson was pounded for eight runs in 5 2/3 innings by the Royals on Thursday. Just when it looked like Hellickson was starting to get something going. He was actually working on a streak of 12 scoreless innings when the Royals suddenly racked up eight runs in the sixth tonight. Manager Joe Maddon left him in to give up eight hits in the frame, the last a three-run homer off the bat of Elliot Johnson. We'd still advise sticking with Hellickson, but he really hasn't been any fun to own this year.
