Jeremy Guthrie was crushed again on Tuesday, allowing seven runs on eight hits over five innings against the A's. How much more of this can Colorado take? Guthrie surrendered three homers to the punchless A's and he's now given up 15 on the year. Guthrie insists that his early-season struggles are not injury related and Rockies manager Jim Tracy said he's given no thought to removing him from the rotation. The only reason for the latter's quote is that Colorado is low on alternatives to replace their big offseason pitching acquisition. Guthrie is 3-5 with a 6.91 ERA and 1.75 WHIP through 10 outings. He's not playable in any format.
