Nevertheless, the quality start was Guthrie's fourth straight, while the seven-inning outing was his third straight. The dominant afternoon brings his Royals ERA and WHIP to 3.23 and 1.03, respectively, through 39 frames. He'll look to keep rolling against the Red Sox in Boston next weekend.
