Jeremy Affeldt will miss 10 to 14 days due to a strained medial collateral ligament in his right knee. The left-hander will start the season on the disabled list as a result of the injury. It's a tough blow, as Affeldt missed two months last year due to a strained left groin. The Giants are hoping to have him back by mid-April.
