Jeremy Affeldt said X-rays on his left thumb came back clean. Affeldt jammed his left thumb while trying to get away from a foul ball in the dugout during Game 4 of the NLDS against the Reds on Wednesday, but managed to avoid serious injury. The veteran southpaw believes he'll be ready to go come Sunday for Game 1 of the NLCS.
