Jeremy Affeldt (oblique) likely won't be activated from the disabled list until Friday. Affeldt threw another successful bullpen session Monday, but he's expected to throw live batting practice on Wednesday before being cleared to return. With Jose Mijares on the bereavement list, the Giants will go with one lefty in the pen until after Thursday's off day.
