Jeremy Affeldt is expected to take a physical Tuesday. If Affeldt passes -- and there's no reason to think that he won't -- his new three-year contract with the Giants will become official. That deal is thought to be worth around $18 million. Affeldt, 33, had a 2.70 ERA in 63 1/3 innings this season with the World Series champions.
