Jeremy Affeldt (groin) is done for the year. Affeldt was activated from the disabled list last week after missing 50 games with a left groin strain, but he felt renewed groin discomfort during a recent relief appearance. The veteran left-hander wound up posting a 3.74 ERA and 1.31 WHIP in 33 2/3 innings this season. He is under contract through 2015.
