Jered Weaver was hit hard in Sunday's loss to the Athletics, surrendering five runs on 11 hits over his six innings. Weaver walked one and struck out a pair on the afternoon. The A's jumped on him with a four-run uprising in the third inning, and Jed Lowrie tacked on a solo homer in the fifth frame to complete the damage. The veteran right-hander will look to improve upon his 3.33 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 57/23 K/BB ratio when he takes on the White Sox next weekend.
