Jered Weaver unexpectedly struggled against the Twins Wednesday, allowing five runs on seven hits in six innings of Los Angeles' 6-5 loss. Weaver fanned seven and walked just one, but served up a two-run homer to Josh Willingham in the fourth before allowing the first two batters he faced to reach base in the seventh. He was then relieved by Hisanori Takahashi, who promptly cashed in Weaver's runs by allowing a two-run triple to Chris Parmelee. Weaver should bounce-back against the A's next Monday.
