Jered Weaver surrendered just one run and three hits over eight innings and struck out 11 Friday in the Angels' 2-1 victory over the Yankees. Weaver was terrific, but since the Angels won on a Maicer Izturis sac fly in the bottom of the ninth, the victory actually went to Jordan Walden. Weaver threw 118 pitches in the outings. It was his first with 10 strikeouts since he did it twice during April.
