Jered Weaver (forearm) was able to avoid an MRI exam, and hopes to make his next scheduled start on Wednesday. Weaver was scratched from Friday's scheduled outing against the Mariners due to soreness in his forearm, but the team didn't believe it was serious enough to require an MRI. He'll play catch on Saturday, and as long as everything goes smoothly, he'll make his final start of the season against against the A's on Wednesday.
