Jered Weaver beat the A's by allowing one run in seven innings on Wednesday. Dane De La Rosa and Ernesto Frieri finished out the 3-1 game. Weaver, who missed his last start with a forearm strain, moved to 11-8 with a 3.27 ERA for the season. Despite the diminished velocity, he was still very effective while on the mound, especially late in the season. Today's quality start was his sixth in a row.
