New York Mets starting pitcher Jerad Eickhoff will take the mound for the Mets on Monday in the series opener with the Reds, according to Tim Britton of The Athletic. Eickhoff will take the start that Jacob deGrom had been in line for prior to his placement on the injured list this weekend. Eickhoff has not looked very good in limited time this season, as he's 0-1 with a 4.97 ERA and 10.3 percent strikeout rate over 12 2/3 innings of work.
