Jen Royle of 1057 The Fan in Baltimore reports that the Orioles have completed a deal with Dan Duquette for Duquette to become the team's new general manager.
The report has been confirmed by several others, and he's expected to be officially announced on Tuesday. Duquette met with the Orioles for a second time Saturday and was slated to meet with owner Peter Angelos Sunday. He's been viewed as the likely hire for a few days now after others passed on the gig, and a deal seemed inevitable. Duquette hasn't had a job in major league baseball since he was fired by the Red Sox back in 2002, but he has over 25 years of experience in MLB.
