Jemile Weeks went 2-for-4 in the A's 4-2 loss to the Mariners on Tuesday. After securing his second hit off Mariners closer Brandon League in the ninth inning. Weeks went on to score the tying run. Since taking over second base after the June 30 trade of Mark Ellis, Weeks is 8-for-25 (.320). The 24-year-old presumably will face some adjustments in his first major league season, but so far he has more than lived up to expectations.
