Jeff Niemann allowed four runs on six hits and three walks over 7 1/3 innings in Monday's loss to the Tigers. Niemann had to be stellar to beat Verlander and he was far worse than that. Coming into the game, he boasted a 2.15 ERA in 10 starts since coming back from the disabled list in mid-June. Niemann will attempt to get back on track in Toronto this weekend.
