Cincinnati Reds starting pitcher Jeff Hoffman (shoulder) has been cleared to begin a minor league rehab assignment in Triple-A. He has been out for roughly a month due to a right shoulder impingement. There's a good chance that Hoffman will need a few rehab starts before he is able to rejoin the Reds rotation.
