Jayson Nix went 3-for-4 with a two-run homer in Sunday's win over the Tigers. The longball came in the second inning off of Justin Verlander, and he nearly took him deep again in a later at-bat, but the ball went just foul. Nix has been thrust into shortstop duty with both Derek Jeter and Eduardo Nunez on the shelf and will likely be in the lineup for the next couple days.
