Jayson Nix went 2-for-3 with a double Friday in a loss to the Athletics. It was Nix's first multi-hit game since April 25. The 30-year-old has received regular playing time at third base with Kevin Youkilis (back) on the shelf, but things could change now that Chris Nelson is in the fold.
