Javier Vazquez spun seven innings of one-run ball, giving up six hits, in Wednesday's win against the Nationals. He struck out four and walked three. Vazquez put together a nice six-start string (1.69 ERA) that lowered his ERA from 7.09 to 5.14 prior to getting tagged for five runs in 4 1/3 innings by the Padres in a loss Thursday. He returned to good graces this evening in a nice matchup. Vazquez gets the Mets next week.
