Javier Vazquez spun seven innings of one-run ball, giving up just three hits hits, in Tuesday's tough-luck 1-0 loss to the A's. The run was unearned, making it the second straight start that Vazquez hasn't allowed an earned run. He's actually on a hot streak, allowing just two earned runs in his last three starts, covering 17 1/3 innings. Vazquez racked up 109 pitches in this one despite not walking a batter and striking out five. He takes on the Rangers on Sunday.
