Javier Maymi of ESPNDeportes.com reports that the Rays are interested in Jorge Posada. The Rays are looking at him for a utility-type role between first base, designated hitter and catcher. Jose Lobaton or Robinson Chirinos figure to be the primary backup for the newly-signed Jose Molina, so the 40-year-old would likely only be an emergency option behind the plate. Posada's father told Maymi that he has also drawn interest from the Orioles and Phillies, but that he has yet to make a decision about whether he'll play in 2012.
