Jason Vargas yielded three runs in seven innings Tuesday in a no-decision against the Rangers. Vargas remained winless on the season, but at least the Angels prevailed for the first time in one of his starts. While Vargas' 5.82 ERA isn't bad, his 2.03 WHIP is hideous. Even tonight, he struck out just two and walked three, giving him a 10/10 K/BB ratio. The Angels' stellar outfield defense can't make him a useful fantasy pitcher all by itself.
