Jason Vargas was tagged for nine earned runs over 5 2/3 innings in Sunday's loss to the White Sox. Vargas struck out two, walked two and yielded 10 hits. He was clean through three innings, but gave up a three-run shot to Dayan Viciedo in the fourth and a grand slam to Tyler Flowers in the sixth. Hopefully fantasy owners didn't buy into his seven shutout innings in Cleveland last time out.
