Jason Vargas spun seven scoreless frames in 5-0 win over the Twins on Friday night. Vargas scattered seven hits (all singles) in the victory while walking just one batter and fanning four. The 31-year-old left-hander has been excellent so far this season, going at least seven innings in all four of his starts while allowing two runs or fewer in all of them. We don't expect the 1.24 ERA to last, but the Royals have to be thrilled with the early returns on their offseason investment.
