Jason Vargas held the Rangers to three runs on six hits in seven innings of work on Wednesday, moving to 7-10 in Seattle's 4-3 victory in Texas. He struck out three, walked four and allowed a pair of home runs. The quality start was Vargas' second straight after he got shelled in each of his first four outings following the All-Star break. He'll take a 4.01 ERA and 1.30 WHIP into his Tuesday start against the Blue Jays.
