Jason Vargas (arm) will throw a bullpen on Sunday and could make a start on Tuesday if all goes well. Vargas made his first rehab start this week but it may end up being the only one he needs. The start Tuesday would displace Tommy Hanson, so it's unclear how the rotation will shake out upon Vargas' return. The lefty was 6-4 with a 3.65 ERA before undergoing blood clot surgery in June.
