Jason Vargas allowed seven runs on 11 hits over five innings in a loss to the Tigers on Sunday. After a scoreless first inning, Vargas allowed runs in each of the next four innings. He served up two home runs among his 11 hits allowed, giving him six homers allowed in seven starts. Even with the poor start, Vargas still owns a 3.50 ERA and 1.25 WHIP in his 46 1/3 innings. He'll look to get back on track Friday against his former team, the Mariners.
