Jason Vargas allowed one run over seven innings against the Rangers on Saturday. Vargas scattered eight hits and a walk over his seven innnings, throwing 96 pitches. The left-hander also struck out five. In 21 spring innings, Vargas now owns a 2.14 ERA. He'll slot in nicely near the top of the Royals' rotation this season but remains a low-end fantasy option.
