Jason Hammel (knee) will be activated from the disabled list to start Thursday against the Yankees. Hammel tossed five scoreless innings in a rehab start last weekend and was officially cleared after having a successful bullpen session Tuesday. The right-hander has been sidelined since July 13, when he injured his right knee before eventually undergoing surgery.
