Jason Hammel (knee) is still experiencing discomfort in his knee, but remains optimistic that he will be able to return before the end of the season. He is currently playing catch every other day, but still looks like a long-shot to contribute before the end of the regular season. Hammell added that he won't throw a pitch until he's completely pain free. There's a chance he could make it back for the playoffs, should the Orioles hold on to the Wild Card spot.
