Jason Hammel kept it rolling Saturday, giving up just two runs on four hits and a walk while striking out eight over 6 2/3 frames in an 8-2 win over the Red Sox. Hammel is now 4-1 on the year, he's allowed two or fewer runs in all six starts, and he's struck out 38 over 38 2/3 innings. Though we're not convinced he'll keep this up over the long haul, Hammel has shown glimpses before, so he should definitely be started with confidence while he's hot. He'll take a 2.09 ERA and 0.98 WHIP into next week's start against the Rangers.
