Jarrod Parker was charged with four runs over 6 1/3 frames in Thursday's loss to the Tigers. He allowed seven hits, walked one and struck out six. Parker exited having given up just two runs, but he left two runners on and both of them came around to score. All told, it was a nice performance from the rookie right-hander, but he just couldn't match up with Justin Verlander.
